Who are we?
Who is George Beuchat?
The history of the Beuchat company starts in 1934 in Southern France where George Beuchat was an avid diver.
George Beuchat invented, pioneered and designed:
- the first isothermal diving suit;
- the first speargun;
- the famous "Jet Fins".
He was also one of the founding members of the French Federation of Diving.
Today, from its international headquarters in Marseille, the brand and the company still prospers. In 2009, Beuchat celebrated its 75th Anniversary. The values and traditions set by George Beuchat are still used today.
By looking to the future and to the needs of the modern diver, while respecting the environment, Beuchat uses the most advanced technologies in the design and production of scuba diving, freediving, snorkeling, spearfishing and water sports equipment.

Who is Beuchat in Canada?
Starting in 2010, Beuchat high-end products are imported and distributed in Canada by Waddell Aquatics Ltd., a Montreal-based scuba diving business established more than 35 years ago.
Although there has been previous attempts at introducing Beuchat in Canada, it's the first time that a Canadian-based diving business gets fully committed to the entire Beuchat line of products: scuba diving, freediving, snorkeling, spearfishing and water sports.
Waddell Aquatics is particularly proud to bring to Canada the world-renowned Beuchat scuba diving wetsuits and freediving fins.
